I function with a woman who has an intestinal difficulty that causes her severe gas. I understand totally that this is not her fault, and that it should be embarrassing for her. But there are almost a dozen folks on our floor (myself included) who day in and out have to deal with the terrible odor of her gas. A number of of us have asked management to allow us to use plug-in air-fresheners, or to move her closer to the windows. But they have mentioned that we cannot do that simply because it would call attention to her difficulty, and cause her undo embarrassment. So my question is this, why should the majority of us have to suffer when the remedy is so blatant?
P.S. You can call me a negative individual, but picture if five days a week you had to function although somebody had their butt against your face. That is the scenario I really feel trapped in.

Mention to the management that if they had been to sanction this solution, it would make the entire circumstance a lot less complicated for you all to perform in(which includes the woman concerned) and as a result likely to be far more productive and it would not cost them a cent.
